Here are some great things to do in Madeira this November 2018. If you were wondering, there are just so many things to do and so many festivals to attend in the last month of autumn and last time we only got to explore a couple of them.

If you are a music fan, you will surely enjoy the Madeira Piano Fest (November 2-9 of this year). Held at the amazing and lavish Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias, the event will welcome lovers of music and friends of the piano for amazing performances from some of the most acclaimed and best upcoming names in European music.

With music thus covered, there are other aspects to deal with, one of them being wine. Here is where a visit to The Essence of Wine Festival can be a great idea. It is scheduled for November 22 to 24 and aims at bringing together the best national wine makers for the biggest wine show in Portugal. The Pestana Forum Casino is the iconic venue for this amazing celebration. Good food is also on the menu, so don’t worry about getting more than mildly tipsy from the amazingly sweet wine. Wine tastings will however be plentiful, as well as cooking sessions.

The end of the month is marked by the Madeira Dig Festival (November 30 to December 4), designed in 2004 to promote local digital art in the form of performances, experimental music and interactive sessions of digital media. Mudas Contemporary Art Museum located in Calheta and another venue in Ponta do Sol, Estalagem, will host this great event.
